Welcome to Athlone School
Athlone School is committed to delivering strong academic programs in a supportive, nurturing and safe environment. Our school staff has engaged in targeted professional development in trauma-informed care, building healthy attachments, mindfulness and brain health. Our instructional focus is on literacy across the curriculum. Teachers continue to develop their teaching practices in the 5 Pillars of Reading as we continue to collaborate with the University of Alberta’s Reading Research Laboratory director and professor, Dr. George Georgiou.
